Did you know that your body weight is almost 60 percent water? Our bodies are made up of majority water, why would you deprive yourself of something that is so essential to your body?
Our body loses water simply through breathing, sweating, and digestion so it's important that we replenish our body by drinking fluids and eating foods containing water.
How much water should you drink a day to stay healthy? A lot of people would say 8 cups a day for the average person. As long as you are drinking water when you are thirsty and eating foods containing water, you are doing it right.
Personally, I have a hard time drinking plain water. I've found putting fruit into my water helps me. Adding a couple pieces of fruits and herbs makes a health detox water. A slice of orange and a couple of blueberries provide a cup of vitamin C and antioxidants. Photo from: The Peach Kitchen
